Grab your girlfriends for a fun night downtown Stillwater. Shops offer discounts as well as drink specials, appetizers and food samples, fashion tips and decorating ideas throughout the evening!

Start the evening at 2:00 and get your finale drawing ticket, passport and swag bag at Cooks of Crocus Hill.  Shop and dine your way around town all while collecting drawing slip/tickets for every $10 you spend at participating businesses. Make sure to stop in at all the unique boutiques for a fun shopping experience. Make sure to stop in at Downtown Divas and see what special's we are offering. Don't miss out!

Follow the balloons to all the great deals & fun events! Earn more drawing tickets by making purchases at participating businesses. Every $10 spent gets you one more chance at our great prizes at the Grand Finale.

The Grand Finale drawings begin at 8:30 pm at Ziggy's with lots of great prizes including a chance to win a $100 Gift Certificate to any of the participating business.

Hometown for the Holidays is a month-long tradition to downtown Stillwater from Black Friday to New Year’s Eve.  With the opening of the new bridge and less traffic downtown, Stillwater returns to a simpler time. Our local business community is creating a unique shopping and dining event to experience and reflect on nostalgic times with an atmosphere of an old time Christmas. Shops and restaurants will feature something special that weekend.

See if you can spot Santa while shopping and dining in historic downtown Stillwater. Santa will be strolling Main Street as part of the month-long traditional celebration!

Feel the festive nature of shopping in downtown historic Stillwater by listening to the holiday melodies of the strolling costumed Victorian carolers on Main Street on Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons as part of Hometown for the Holidays.

Come to the Pedestrian Plaza in Historic Downtown Stillwater for FREE horse-drawn Victorian Wagonette rides! Experience the joy of the season with a family ride along the St. Croix River in the crisp air. Wagonette rides are just one of the many holiday traditions downtown Stillwater as part of the month-long Hometown for the Holidays events. The locally-owned unique shops on Main Street welcome you!

Snap a photo with the big guy himself. SANTA!  Santa will be on the Pedestrian Plaza from 1 – 4 on Saturday, December 14th. Bring the kids to our annual Twinkle Festivities from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. Meet at the pedestrian plaza to the river side of Water Street Inn. The Teddy Bear band will be performing at the amphitheater. Keep your eyes open for strolling characters! There might be a princess sighing. Or perhaps an Olaf?

We have 1200 twinkle lights that are free to kids 12 and under and a few light up items available for purchase as well this year! Families are encouraged to decorate themselves with battery powered lights from home too!

Dress warm to celebrate the official lighting of our city’s Christmas tree, dance along with the Teddy Bear Band, and enjoy a complimentary cookie, free trolley rides, and cocoa and coffee will be enjoyed.

Santa and Ms. Claus arrive via fire truck around 5pm traveling from the north down Water Street and then walk down the pedestrian plaza towards the amphitheater.

Tree, via JG Hause Construction, is lit around 5:30 by Santa and Mayor Ted. Family friendly fireworks immediately follow the tree lighting.
